The “Call Me Al” podcast was inaugurated in January of 2018 as a product of the Interdependence Network (IN), an on-line community of practice that focuses on community and macro change, www.buildingsocialcapital.org. The podcast is a 30-minute, café style conversation with human service advocates interested in more inclusive, welcoming communities. It is hosted by Dr. Al Condeluci, noted advocate, author, and consultant on human service matters. It is available via iTunes, or though the IN website cited above.

The Interdependence Network was founded in 2010 by a team of disability advocates in the US and Canada who were interested in macro change. This group agreed that micro rehabilitation efforts only went so far in the overall rehabilitation process and at some point, the energy needs to shift to a macro perspective. The “Network” was initiated as a community of practice for advocates interested in community engagement. More information is available at the IN website.

Since 2010, the Network has gathered members and have held numerous workshops and symposia in the US, Canada, and Australia, that share macro perspectives on disability advocacy. Chief among these strategies is understanding and developing actions to initiate and build social capital. The IN also offers organizational assessment and consulting for ways and means to greater macro success.

As a guest on the “Call Me Al” podcast you will be:
